Format of Play
Stroke Play 54 Holes Gross Score
There are 2 parts in the competition
1. Individual Stroke Play over 3 days (WAGR Ranking for A and B Class)
2. Team event which all players from same region will be grouped as a team. Competing for Trophy of Honor from Thongchai Jaidee
- At the end of each round every class will earn their points according to their finish (refer to scoring table below) and all points will combine into a team score.
- Only best 1 score from each class will be counted towards team score.
- Class without a player will not earn points toward team score.
- Classes are divided into 5 categories as follow: Championship Class (A), Class B, Class C, Class D & Class E
- Only A and B are eligible for World Amateur Golf Ranking
Rules & Conditions:
For Individual Stroke Play:
- For tie for 1st place, we will decide winner by sudden death play off. If there are reasons that keep us from the play-off, eg. not enough light, bad weather or other causes that out of our control, the winner will be decided by count-back.
- For tie for 2nd-5th place, we will use scorecard count back by comparing last 18, last 9, last 6, and last 3 holes aggregate scores respectively. If there still a tie, we will compare (count back) hole-by-hole score from 18th hole to 1st hole untill we have the winner.
- Spectators are allowed on the tournamnet days on conditions mentioned below:
- Golf carts are allow on cart path only
- Do not park on walk ways or block any traffics
- Players are not allow on golf carts without referee's permission
- Please keep quiet during the play and not give advise to the players
Penalties for spectators
- If spectators/parents are not strictly follow TJDT rules & condition, we will kindly ask you to wait for your athlete at the club house. If you are insist of following after the warning, we reserve the right to withdraw your child from the tournament. Registration fee and other fees related to the tournament will NOT be refunded.
- One ball rule is in effect for class Championship, B and C. Your golf balls must listed on USGA List of Conforming Golf Balls
- Your driver must be on USGA List of Conforming Driver Heads
(Championship, B and C only)
- Range finder are allowed without slope measurment (other GPS devices, eg. smart watch or application on mobile phone are not permitted).
- Private/Personal caddies are not allowed
- Golf carts are not allow for Championship, B, and C Class
- Golf carts are mandatory for D & E Class
- Parents are NOT allow to ride on the same cart with players. (Without referees' permission)
For Team Event:
- Please refer to scoring table below.
- Points will be earned by each class according to their finish and combine into team scores. Team will earn points according to their finish on that day as below mentioned:

In an event of a tie. Each region will pick their best players from each class for sudden death play-off (1 player per class with a total of 10 players). Team with more points in team play-off round will declare winner (Win a match = 1 point, Tie = 0.5 point)

In an event of a tie after team play-off. Winner will be decided by another sudden death play-off (class will be picked by lucky draw)
- In an event of a tie after the 2nd round play-off. Winner will be decided by a shoot-out (class will be picked by lucky draw)
- In an event of a tie after shoot-out. Winer will be decided by team score countback. Round 3, 2 and 1 team scores.
